I’ve been updating the Theme and the Admin part of this Blog.

The whole idea is to make it more useful for you and
other visitors.

I have got more changes to make as time permits.

This theme, from Brian Gardner works very well but on-going changes
behind the scenes should mean that you’ll get more from it too?

According to McAfee, a provider of web security software, up to 14% of Internet sites are at least potentially malicious.

It’s a problem that’s likely to get worse.

I read a great post about “Protect Your Privacy, Delete Internet Usage Tracks” on One Man’s Blog

I rate the information that John Pozadzides provides there very highly so I checked out the utilities that he suggested worthwhile.

The two utilities still listed are well worth checking. I’ll add more in this blog
when I’ve run the one that I chose for a couple of weeks.

BTW his blog is very informative, but also has some great leisure posts. That’s where I found out about the extravagant but very watchable Guinness “Dominoes” commercial.

Protect Your Downloadable Products

If you sell anything on the Internet, you’ve probably wondered about the best ways to protect them from being taken without payment?

I’ve tried a few different systems.

Some were free and I found that a couple of those were not even worth that!

The paid options also varied in quality and the support was sometimes non-existent.

I’m very happy with Down Load Guard, which I’ve been using for more than a year.

It protects my products on several web sites and adding a new product is very simple.

The quality and simplicity of the instructions impressed me. I write instructions and edit those of other people The Down Load Guard instuctions are among the best.

Support is by email and also a dedicated Forum. It’s just been upgraded to version 4, with more features. There are cheaper options but no others that I’ve used have given me the peace of mind that I get now.

I’m no GURU at anything but I’ve been blogging for a couple of
years and used several popular systems as well as some that are
lesser-known or even defunct.

I’ve got an account on Blogger (which is owned by Google), but I
set up my blogs with WordPress on my own so that I retain full control of them.

This blog is just a week old in its present form and you can expect
